You should already have a garbage bag with you, in fact, you should always have two on you… So, here is another use for a garbage bag, so it is not just extra weight in your pack – wrap it around your hydration bladder and tie it off in your pack.

You do you want the cap to come loose on your bladder, and get everything inside your pack wet, especially if you are not using waterproof stuff sacks.

You’ll thank me (or your lucky stars – whichever you prefer, I am more of a Lucky Charms guy myself…) if you start doing this, even if it never happens.
